QUITO, Nov 19 (Reuters) - Ecuador has not yet decided whether to push for another OPEC output cut to lift dwindling world oil prices, Oil Minister Derlis Palacios said on Wednesday.

"We still have no position," Palacios told reporters in Quito. "We will respect any decision OPEC takes."

A day earlier Palacios say OPEC members might not act on further production cuts at the Nov. 29 meeting in Cairo. He said that decision could be made at another meeting in December.

Ecuador, South America's No 5 oil producer with output of 500,000 barrels per day, has struggled to lift output and Palacios has said further production cuts could hurt the Andean country's economy. He said Ecuador could still ask OPEC for preferential treatment to keep its small quota unchanged. (Reporting by Jose Llangari)
